Qiandongnan, China, is one of the first batches traditional villages in demonstration area concentrated and continuous protection utilization. The study spatial distribution characteristics their influencing factors crucial to centralized villages. This uses 415 six Qiandongnan as research object. Using ArcGIS analysis Geodetector methods, we analyzed spatial–temporal evolution factors. findings reveal that exhibit a clustering trend with poor equilibrium, forming four high-density regions. primarily formed during Ming Dynasty, displaying "point-axis" expansion characterized by agglomeration "Place Two Districts—Trace Water into Mountains—Expand Periphery—Consolidate Pattern". results show natural, social, historical, other jointly influence villages, which river density population are main factors, interaction multiple shows an upward trend. can provide scientific guidance suggestions for utilization Qiandongnan.
