Tourism is a major driver of global economic growth but has long been criticized for its environmental and social drawbacks. Despite these challenges, it fosters cultural exchange, strengthens local economies, promotes sustainable practices. To balance benefits drawbacks, the emerging concept regeneration shifts focus from merely reducing negative impacts to actively restoring enhancing social, cultural, systems. However, regenerative tourism faces significant including inconsistent definitions gaps between theoretical frameworks practical implementation. This remains largely unexplored in post-Soviet European countries like Lithuania Ukraine, especially rural areas, despite potential transformative impact. Through analyzing two case studies, this study seeks bridge demonstrate how can transform destinations into restorative ecosystems. By examining real-world examples, research provides valuable insights implementation tourism.
