Abstract Background: Olfactory and gustatory dysfunction are among the significant symptoms of COVID-19 infection that show diversity in prevalence recovery with a great impact on patients’ life. Objectives: This study aimed to evaluate age, sex, smoking dysgeusia (abnormal taste) anosmia (loss smell) COVID-19-infected patients. Materials Methods: A retrospective single-institution involved 194 records patients both genders evaluated according objectives, encompassing pertinent data such as gender, habits, incidence or hyposmia, changes flavor, initiation duration infection, alterations smell taste. Medications utilized for treatment purposes were either acquired through direct telephone communication indirectly from records. Results: total included, majority them women. Patients age had differences, mean 28 years. Infection was about 1 week patients, degree mild. significantly P ≤ 0.05 dysgeusia, anosmia, them. Smoking found be correlated dysgeusia. Conclusion: Dysgeusia initial indications mild resolve their own during second phase virus’s spread. Young female identified having higher propensity develop both. Smokers lower
