We have successfully synthesized the dichloro-bis[(Z)-1-styryl-benzimidazole]-zinc(II) complex, which was fully characterized by IR, elemental analysis, and mass NMR spectroscopy. The solid-state structure definitively shows that two benzimidazole moieties are coordinated to zinc atom, adopts a tetrahedral geometry.
