Abstract Thermal camouflage technology offers critical countermeasures against infrared detection, yet persistent challenges remain in environmental adaptability, multispectral compatibility, and concurrent thermal management. To address these limitations, a spectrally selective modulator is pioneered that synergistically integrates radiative cooling with electrochromic tunability. The proposed achieves emissivity modulation, demonstrating remarkable change (Δ ɛ max = 0.76) within detection bands (3–5 µm 8–14 µm) while preserving high ( 0.79) non‐detection for passive heat dissipation. Multispectral operability further evidenced by dynamic diffuse reflectivity control R lowest 0.07/0.05 across visible near‐infrared band) terahertz absorptivity modulation A 0.66), enabling full‐spectrum adaptive concealment. device ≈10 °C apparent temperature without external heating, effectively disguising 70 target as 40 °C. Radiative efficacy validated through theoretical modeling (peak power: 367 W m − 2 ) experimental verification (≈6 reduction vs conventional wide‐spectrum stealth surfaces at 60 °C). With rapid switching (<6 s), exceptional cyclability (>10 3 cycles), programmable information encryption capabilities. This work resolves the long‐standing trade‐off between regulation wavelength‐selective engineering, establishing versatile foundation next‐generation intelligent systems defense, aerospace, energy‐efficient applications.

Abstract Colours in nature can be pigmentary, structural or a combination of both. The prevalence, function and nanostructural origin coloration eggs is largely unknown. Stick leaf insect display wide variety colours, most which are produced by pigments. Myronides glaucus (Phasmida: Lonchodidae; Hennemann, 2021), however, show clear purple to green iridescence. Here, we use micro‐spectrophotometry, Fourier‐transform infrared reflectance, transmission‐ scanning electron microscopy, atomic force finite‐difference time‐domain optical simulations experimental approaches elucidate the mechanism for iridescence M. eggshells, together reveal that caused thin‐film interference 200‐ 450‐nm‐thick outermost layer.
