Global urbanization and increasing water demand make efficient resource management crucial. This study employs Multi-Criteria Decision Making (MCDM) to evaluate smart city strategies. We use representative criteria, employ objective judgment, assign weights through the Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP), score strategies based on meeting these criteria. find that “Effectiveness Risk Management” criterion carries highest weight (15.28%), underscoring its pivotal role in strategy evaluation robustness. Medium-weight criteria include “Resource Efficiency, Equity, Social Considerations” (10.44%), “Integration with Existing Systems, Technological Feasibility, Ease of Implementation” (10.10%), “Environmental Impact” (9.84%) for ecological mitigation. “Community Engagement Public Acceptance” (9.79%) recognizes involvement, while “Scalability Adaptability” (9.35%) addresses changing conditions. “Return Investment” (9.07%) “Regulatory Policy Alignment” (8.8%) balance financial governance concerns. Two low-weight “Data Reliability” (8.78%) “Long-Term Sustainability” (8.55%), stress data accuracy sustainability. Highly weighted like “Smart Metering Monitoring, Demand Management, Behavior Change” Irrigation Systems” are particularly effective improving cities. However, medium-weighted (e.g., “Educational Campaigns Awareness”, “Policy Regulation”, “Rainwater Harvesting”, “Offshore Floating Photovoltaic Systems”, “Collaboration Partnerships”, “Graywater Recycling Reuse”, “Distributed Water Infrastructure”) low-weighted “Water Desalination”) also contribute can be combined higher-ranked ones create customized approaches each city’s unique context. research is significant because it urban complexity, offers a multi-criteria approach enhance traditional single-focused methods, evaluates cities comprehensively, provides criteria-weight-based allocation framework sustainable decisions, boosting resilience. Note results may vary specific needs constraints. Future studies could explore factors climate change consider alternative MCDM methods TOPSIS or ELECTRE evaluation.

This concept paper explores how integrating human activity recognition (HAR) with IoPVT within can revolutionize public safety, particularly urban settings challenging climates architectures. By seamlessly blending physical sensor networks immersive virtual environments, highlights future where real-time data collection, digital twin modeling, advanced analytics, predictive planning proactively enhance well-being. Specifically, three dimensions humans, technology, environment interact toward measuring health, climate. Three cultural scenarios showcase to utilize HAR–IoPVT sensors external staircases, rural climate, coastal infrastructure. Advanced algorithms analytics would identify potential hazards, enabling timely interventions reducing accidents. also societal benefits, such as proactive monitoring, enhanced emergency response, contributions smart city initiatives. Infrastructural projects based on public–private partnership (PPP) schemes usually struggle with large amounts of resources. Given such projects' relatively long lifetime, it is expected to encounter a wide range risks when executing them. This implies that increasing productivity cost, time, and quality goals requires accurately identifying assessing in these projects. study aims at risk assessment analysing PPP an integrated analysis method. To this end, first, library studies are utilized identify the most significant by surveying PPP-based urban underground construction Expert opinions fuzzy Delphi (FD) technique then employed three stages 48 secondary factors. By sources factors, we five primary dimensions: government, financing, operation, constructability, organization-related risks. A questionnaire distributed acquire experts' screen critical integrating FD failure mode effects (FFMEA). Results showed that, total, 23 factors dimensions exhibited priority number (RPNNormalized) values above 0.5, indicating their more impacts. In next phase, multi-stage inference system designed evaluate impacts Output results indicated very high, medium overall terms quality, respectively.
