We consider a mathematical model describing the propagation of an epidemic on geographical network. The size outbreak is governed by initial growth rate disease given maximal eigenvalue matrix formed susceptibles and graph Laplacian representing mobility. use perturbation theory to analyze define vaccination strategy, assuming reduces susceptibles. When mobility local dynamics have similar time scales, it most efficient vaccinate whole network because grows uniformly. However, if only few vertices can be vaccinated, then we show that along eigenvector corresponding largest Laplacian. illustrate these results calculations seven-vertex realistic example French rail slower than dynamics, vertex with number more reduced when vaccinating larger degree vertex; also depends neighboring vertices. This study its conclusions provide guidelines for planning campaign at onset epidemic.
