This paper presents a long-term study of Preservice Mathematics Teachers (PMTs) at the Faculty mathematics, physics and informatics, Comenius University in Bratislava (FMFI UK), focusing on implementation digital technologies (DT) into teaching theoretical practical (or applied) subjects. We conducted parallel research two aspects, one Calculus lessons as subject, another Financial module an applied subject. The DT way this was measured varied from year to also method aforementioned methods results are briefly described, comparison these subjects PMTs’ preparation is discussed.

The interaction between humans and technologies has a long historical lineage. Presently, generative artificial intelligence tools such as ChatGPT are being employed for various purposes, especially in education across diverse domains. These carry significant potential to induce profound transformations the overarching mission vision of higher institutions, thereby exerting considerable influence on institutions dedicated training teaching professionals. In fact, guide human activities through genesis or development “utilization schemes”. This study aims explore mathematics teacher candidates' instrumentation process developing lesson plans with particular attention utilization purposes schemes. research was designed case conducted during spring semester 2022-2023 academic year. participants included ten candidates. lasted eight weeks. data collection used journals filled out by at least once week when they interacted intelligence, screenshots conversations ChatGPT, prepared participants. collected analyzed within framework instrumental approach. content analysis results revealed that planning process, candidates six different types associated distinct purposes.

In this study, we redesigned paper-and-pencil activities and adapted them to an introductory multivariate calculus course supported by 3D dynamic geometry software. We used semi-structured interviews students' written productions during the semester analyse use of technology in supporting learning. Considering work two students, find that software has transformative potential but it did not promote learning as expected. discuss possible reasons for this.

Abstract The study advances the instrumental approach to mathematics education (Drijvers et al., 2013; Trouche, 2003), aiming elucidate interplay between students’ reasoning competency, conceptual knowledge and tool utilisation in dynamic digital geometry algebra environments. properties of these environments pose a nuanced predicament, as outsourcing translation visual algebraic representations raises concerns regarding development competency. To mitigate this issue, prediction task is proposed, focusing on behaviour variable points GeoGebra.
