Chitin is a long-chain polymer of N-acetyl-glucosamine, which regularly found in the exoskeleton arthropods including insects, shellfish and cell wall fungi. It has been known that chitin can be used for biological biomedical applications, especially as biomaterial tissue repairing, encapsulating drug delivery. However, postulated an inducer proinflammatory cytokines certain diseases asthma. Likewise, chitosan, N-acetyl-glucosamine d-glucosamine derived from deacetylation, chitosan oligosaccharide, short chain polymer, have their potential therapeutic effects, anti-inflammatory, antioxidant, antidiarrheal, anti-Alzheimer effects. This review summarizes utilization limitation chitin, oligosaccharide variety diseases. Furthermore, future direction research development applications discussed.

This experiment aimed to examine the effect of chitosan-oligosaccharides (COS) supplementation in laying hens' diets affected their immune response, hematological characteristics, blood biochemical parameters, and histological status. At age 34 wk, 200 hens 20 cocks Mandarah chicken strain were allotted into four groups, each consisting 50 five cocks. The first group acted as a control group, fed on basal diet. second, third, fourth experimental groups received 0.1, 0.2, 0.5 g/kg COS addition base Birds at various dosages had significantly (P ˂ 0.05) increased serum concentration immunoglobulins, avian influenza, Newcastle disease antibodies compared with birds. Moreover, adding level 0.2 diet insignificantly enhanced response than rest treatment groups. Also, treated birds different levels improved parameters such red cells, white hemoglobin hematocrit group. all decreased cholesterol, triglycerides, Ca++ alanine aminotransferase concentrations In addition, chitosan-treated showed examination small intestine, isthmus, testis, notably given 0.1 other Cocks testicular tissues number diameter seminiferous tubules Morphological ileum villi number, height, crypt depth. It is possible conclude that physiological performance general health can be effectively by using chitosan or 2 response.

The predominant sources of collagen for cosmetic purposes were traditionally derived from bovine and porcine products, such as bones, tendons, connective tissues. However, these are gradually declining in popularity due to their restricted availability, religious constraints, disease-related concerns. Consequently, there is an urgent necessity explore alternative sustainable sources. Marine species offer a promising supply lower risk disease transmission, freedom restrictions, biocompatibility, molecular weight, production costs, simpler absorption by the human body. This review objective highlights potential marine resources (fishes, poriferans, mollusks, crustaceans, echinoderms, coelenterates) applications. A variety with different extraction techniques will be compared. study finds that fish by-products, particularly skins becoming very encouraging source contrasted other alternatives. They exhibit significant content, comprising up 61.26% dry weight under acid-soluble (ASC) method. Fish skin bone-derived mostly composed type I has been proven possess notable capabilities antioxidant, anti-aging, skin-whitening agent. Therefore, utilization key ingredient cosmetics promotes responsible sourcing, encourages eco-friendly practices, fosters circular economy making most underutilized materials.

Chitosan oligosaccharides (COSs) are widely used biopolymers that have been studied in relation to a variety of abnormal biological activities the food and biomedical fields. Since different COS preparation technologies produce compounds with structural characteristics, it has not yet possible determine whether one or more chito-oligomers primarily responsible for bioactivity COSs. The inherent biocompatibility, mucosal adhesion nontoxic nature COSs well documented, as is fact they readily absorbed from intestinal tract, but their structure-activity relationship requires further investigation. This review summarizes methods preparation, research findings regard antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, anti-obesity, bacteriostatic antitumour activity characteristics. correlation between molecular structure bioactivities described, new insights into provided.
