Abstract The burgeoning demand for protein, exacerbated by population growth and recent disruptions in the food supply chain, has prompted a rapid exploration of sustainable protein alternatives. Among these alternatives, algae stand out their environmental benefits, growth, rich content. However, widespread adoption algae‐derived proteins faces significant challenges. These include issues related to harvesting, safety, scalability, high cost, standardization, commercialization, regulatory hurdles. Particularly daunting is efficient extraction algal proteins, as resilient cell walls contain approximately 70% content, with conventional methods accessing only fraction this. Overcoming this challenge necessitates development cost‐effective, scalable, environmentally friendly disruption techniques capable breaking down rigid walls, often laden viscous polysaccharides. Various approaches, including physical, chemical, enzymatic methods, offer potential solutions, albeit varying efficacy depending on specific strain energy transfer efficiency. Moreover, there remains pressing need further research elucidate functional, technological, bioaccessible properties peptides, along exploring diverse commercial applications. Despite obstacles, hold considerable promise source, offering pathway meet escalating nutritional demands growing global population. This review highlights nutritional, functional aspects peptides while underscoring challenges hindering adoption. It emphasizes critical importance establishing trajectory production, playing pivotal role endeavor.

Various species of fungi can be detected in the environment and within human body, many which may become pathogenic under specific conditions, leading to various forms fungal infections. Antimicrobial peptides (AMPs) are evolutionarily ancient components immune response that quickly induced infections with pathogens almost all tissues. There is a wide range AMP classes humans, exhibit broad-spectrum antimicrobial function. This review provides comprehensive overview mechanisms action AMPs, their distribution antifungal activity against both common rare clinical pathogens. It also discusses current research status promising novel strategies, highlighting challenges must overcome development these therapies. The hope peptides, as class agents, will soon progress through large-scale trials implemented practice, offering new treatment options for patients suffering from

This study investigated the effects of dietary nucleotides (NTs) on hematological indices, hepatic biomarkers, antioxidant capacity, digestive functions, and intestinal histomorphology Sterlet sturgeon (Acipenser ruthenus). Over 10 weeks, five diets with varying levels NTs (0 g/kg, 1.5 2.5 3.5 5.0 g/kg) were fed to triplicate groups fish (initial weight: 95.33 ± 1.23 g) in a flow-through system. The results indicated that final weight relative growth rate reached highest values g/kg supplemented diet (p < 0.05). NTs-supplemented also had lower feed conversion ratios than those basal While total leukocytes increased by increasing supplementation value NTs, no significant differences obtained RBC, Hb, MCHC, HCT, eosinophil among experimental > WBC count was seen compared control group serum enzyme generally decreased higher supplementation, although alanine transaminase significantly at level capacity improved 0.25 0.35 0.05), while malondialdehyde up but it protease amylase activities peaked receiving lipase activity histology revealed exhibited greatest villus height width, along more goblet cells Based second-order polynomial regression analysis, optimum for positive physiometabolic responses intestine functions lies range 2.2-3.6 g/kg.
