Marine macroalgae are of broad interest because their abundant bioactive phenolic compounds. However, only a few previous studies have focused on bound In this study, there were significant differences in total content, phlorotannin flavonoid and antioxidant ability free forms, as well bound-to-free ratios, among 11 marine macroalgal species from the South China Sea. Padina gymnospora had highest content fractions, activity fractions. Sargassum thunbergii whereas oligocystum Moreover, 15 acids, 35 flavonoids, 2 stilbenes, 3 bromophenols, phlorotannins characterized quantified using ultra-high-performance liquid chromatography with Xevo triple quadrupole mass spectrometry, 42 compounds reported fractions seaweeds for first time. Sargassum fusiforme polysaccharides (SFPs) are acidic that possess significant medicinal and commercial potential. This review aims to summarize recent advances in the structure, extraction methods, diverse biological activities of SFPs, including their antioxidant, antitumor, immunomodulatory, antiviral, intestinal flora-regulating, anti-diabetic properties. The key findings reveal complex composition polysaccharides, highlighting alginic acid, fucoidan, laminaran as primary constituents, detailing structural features. At same time, characteristics well advantages disadvantages hot water extraction, acid alkali ultrasonic microwave enzyme were systematically compared. Finally, this concludes by emphasizing necessity for further research elucidate structure–function relationships optimize techniques, provide a theoretical foundation subsequent studies.

The main objective of this study was to provide an overview the potential health-promoting properties honeys collected at specific apiary locations from protected area Montesinho Natural Park (MNP), by analyzing their amino acid and polyphenolic profiles, biological properties, comparing them with renowned Manuka honey. results revealed differences in total phenolic content among samples examined between sampling campaigns, values ranging 55.6 225 mg gallic equivalents (GAE) per 100 g honey, compared 57.2 GAE/100 for Gallic acid, neochlorogenic catechin were key phenolics MNP honey samples. exhibited high levels essential acids (phenylalanine, lysine, valine), strong antioxidant antimicrobial activities, moderate enzyme inhibition, proline some locations. These highlight exceptional nutritional therapeutic
