Sargassum
fusiforme
polysaccharides
(SFPs)
are
acidic
that
possess
significant
medicinal
and
commercial
potential.
This
review
aims
to
summarize
recent
advances
in
the
structure,
extraction
methods,
diverse
biological
activities
of
SFPs,
including
their
antioxidant,
antitumor,
immunomodulatory,
antiviral,
intestinal
flora-regulating,
anti-diabetic
properties.
The
key
findings
reveal
complex
composition
polysaccharides,
highlighting
alginic
acid,
fucoidan,
laminaran
as
primary
constituents,
detailing
structural
features.
At
same
time,
characteristics
well
advantages
disadvantages
hot
water
extraction,
acid
alkali
ultrasonic
microwave
enzyme
were
systematically
compared.
Finally,
this
concludes
by
emphasizing
necessity
for
further
research
elucidate
structure–function
relationships
optimize
techniques,
provide
a
theoretical
foundation
subsequent
studies.
