Background and Objectives: Cognitive impairment is defined as a reduced ability to perform one or more cognitive functions, potentially leading dementia if the condition worsens. With being rapidly growing public health issue affecting approximately 50 million people worldwide, understanding modifiable risk factors such thyroid disease crucial for prevention early diagnosis. Thyroid hormones play vital role in brain development functioning, impacting processes neuron growth, myelination, neurotransmitter synthesis. Recent decades have seen disorders emerging potential independent reversible impairment. Materials Methods: The review adheres PRISMA guidelines, utilizing structured PICO question explore whether individuals with diseases higher of developing impairments compared those without. literature search was conducted PubMed, Cochrane, ScienceDirect databases, including studies published from 1 January 2019 31 December 2023. discusses nine selected articles. Background/Objectives: The interrelationship of thyroid volume and function with features cardiovascular dysfunction has already been investigated but some aspects remain unclear, especially in terms subclinical euthyroid patients. Background/Objectives: This study investigates the effect of thyroid lobe size on common carotid artery hemodynamics during thyroidectomy. While prior research has reported reduced blood flow procedure, impact remains unclear. We hypothesized that larger lobes may influence dynamics via external compression. Methods: Adult patients undergoing elective thyroidectomy were prospectively included. Doppler ultrasonography measured diameters and characteristics at three time points: before anesthesia induction, after surgical positioning. Regional cerebral oximetry was recorded. Each analyzed separately. Results: Data from 202 arteries (132 patients) analyzed. Baseline velocities similar between with normal large lobes. Anesthesia induction in all patients. After positioning, had significantly increased peak systolic velocity, leading to an overestimation flow, when using formula-based calculations. Sex differences in the incidence of thyroid nodules (TNs) are broadly recognized, but further analysis is lacking. Thus, aim this study was to evaluate association between TNs and anthropometric parameters type 2 diabetic males females. This cross-sectional included 747 patients with diabetes mellitus (T2DM). ABSTRACT Background Differentiated thyroid cancer (DTC) is the primary subtype of cancer. Timely diagnosis and intervention are crucial for improving prognosis survival. However, effectiveness existing serum markers limited, necessitating discovery new biomarkers. Methods This study utilized liquid chromatography–tandem mass spectrometry to analyze tryptophan metabolic profiles in samples from 105 DTC patients 50 healthy controls. Independent predictors were identified through univariate intergroup comparisons multivariate logistic regression analysis, leading development validation a diagnostic model. Results Significant differences observed 11 metabolites between Logistic nicotinamide, 3‐hydroxyanthranilic acid, 5‐hydroxytryptophan, melatonin, indole‐3‐propionic acid as independent predictors.
