X-ray computed tomography (CT) and magnetic resonance (MR) imaging are essential tools in modern medical diagnosis treatment. However, traditional contrast agents inadequate the of various health conditions. Consequently, development targeted nano-contrast has become a crucial area focus image-enhancing agents. To fully understand current agents, this review provides an overview preparation methods research advancements CT MR CT/MR multimodal described previous publications. Due to physicochemical properties nanomaterials, such as self-assembly surface modifiability, these specific can greatly improve targeting lesions through clearly highlight distinction between normal tissues both MR. As result, they have potential be used early stages disease diagnostic capacity level imaging.
