In order to combat the complex and diverse infections caused by bacteria, it is essential develop efficient diagnostic tools. Current techniques for bacterial detection rely on laborious multistep procedures, with high costs extended time of analysis. To overcome these limitations, we propose here a novel portable electrochemical biosensor rapid identification Gram-positive bacteria that leverages recognition capabilities vancomycin aptamers. A vancomycin-modified screen-printed carbon electrode was used selectively capture susceptible this antibiotic. Electrochemical impedance spectroscopy scanning electron microscopy demonstrated achieved in 10 min, limit only 2 CFU/mL. We then tested device's potential aptamer-based using Staphylococcus aureus Bacillus cereus as test strains. Specifically, electrodes captured were exposed species-specific aptamers, resulting changes current intensity analyzed differential pulse voltammetry. When directly untreated milk or serum, system able successfully identify small amount S. B. (100 CFU/mL) less than 45 min. This has serve an invaluable tool could be used, even inexperienced staff, broad range settings including clinical diagnostics, food safety analysis, environmental monitoring, security applications.

According to the scientific information reviewed, cheese is highly susceptible contamination by mycotoxin-producing fungi, primarily species from genera Aspergillus (A. niger, A. flavus) and Penicillium (P. commune, P. solitum, palitans, crustosum). Studies on various types of made cow’s milk report an average concentration Aflatoxin M1 (AFM1) at 13,000 ng kg−1, which alarming since regulatory limits for AFM1 in range 250 500 kg−1. For instance, set Codex Alimentarius, European Commission (EC), Turkey, Iran are In Netherlands, limit 200 Italy, it 450 However, mycotoxins frequently exceeds these limits, including critical such as ochratoxin A, citrinin, cyclopiazonic acid, pose significant global health concerns. Therefore, this study aims review mycobiota responsible producing key assess influence physicochemical factors fungal growth mycotoxin production. By incorporating control strategies hygiene practices, pasteurization, use preservatives, seeks improve methodologies production chain mitigate fungi mycotoxins.

ABSTRACT The prevalence of foodborne outbreaks due to the consumption uncooked and ready‐to‐eat fruits vegetables has seen a noticeable increase, particularly in environments lacking sanitation. This article extensively explores recent advancements detection pathogens vegetables, alongside potential prevention strategies. Predominantly, like Listeria monocytogenes , Escherichia coli Salmonella enterica are main culprits linked these food items globally. Notably, contamination is more prevalent fresh leafy greens than fruit products. Various methods such as culturing, microscopy, immunological assays, polymerase chain reaction (PCR), biosensors, hyperspectral imaging have proven effective identifying foods. Nonetheless, come with challenges, including time consumption, accuracy concerns, high costs. Research ongoing refine techniques, efforts combining methodologies PCR–enzyme‐linked immunosorbent assay integrating culturing PCR. Additionally, several interventions, cold plasma treatment, ultraviolet irradiation, application edible coatings, shown promise mitigating risks, thereby enhancing safety produce items.
