Cyclodextrins (CDs) are macrocycles that well suited for forming inclusion complexes surface-enhanced Raman scattering (SERS) detection of analytes due to their low activity, which minimizes background SERS signals and enhances the target molecules without interference. In this paper, we systematically investigated synthesis both silver (Ag) gold (Au) nanoparticles (NPs) using CDs as reducing capping agents in a basic environment microwave (MW), ultrasound (US), room temperature (RT) synthesis. We found replacing NaOH with K2CO3 an alkaline almost doubles size (from <10 nm around 20 nm) AgNPs MW-assisted Synthesis US produces less stable particles sample evolution after irradiation. Ag (20 Au (11 were successfully obtained at presence K2CO3. All synthesized present activity. CD allowed us detect hydrophobic like naphthalene melamine. case methylene blue, prevents changes induced by pH. also demonstrate newly NPs can discriminate propranolol enantiomers. Moreover, leads dramatic change its spectrum.
