How to reduce the high incidence rate and mortality of colorectal cancer (CRC) effectively is focus current research. Endoscopic treatment early-stage CRC adenomas (CAC) has a success rate, but although several treatments are available for advanced CRC, such as surgery, radiotherapy, chemotherapy, immunotherapy, 5-year survival remains low. In view early rational drug prevention high-risk groups exploration alternative modalities particularly warranted. Gut microbiota target interacts with probiotics, prebiotics, aspirin, metformin, various Chinese herbal medicines (CHMs) CRC. addition, anti-cancer mechanisms probiotics differ widely among bacterial strains, both strains their derivatives metabolites have been found effects. plays significant role in its middle late stages, targeting gut may be new strategy treatment.

Rational A true increase in prevalence of coeliac disease (CeD) has been witnessed worldwide. This ‘on-the-rise’ epidemiological trend for CeD is shared with other immune-mediated disorders and could be due to environment-driven gut microbiota perturbances. Objectives To summarise recent evidence regarding possible relationships between disturbances onset, a specific focus on pathogenesis biotic-based therapeutic interventions. Methods literature search was launched 20 August 2024 using Google Scholar, PubMed, EMBASE, Scopus keywords as follows: celiac AND microbiota; microbiome; prebiotics; probiotics; symbiotics; postbiotics. Results total 1779 articles were retrieved from two authors' blinded search, which 1297 duplicates. 206 excluded by abstract they commentaries, letters, case series. final set 276 suitable the scope our review and, after carefully reading full-text articles, only 131 considered valuable included references review. Conclusions While there extensive alterations CeD, lack clarity remains whether changes observed individuals are effects condition or if how play role its onset. Limited points towards utility probiotic strains reduce symptoms, decrease inflammation, support growth children overall enhance recovery CeD.

Addressing the escalating global burdens of inflammatory bowel disease and antimicrobial resistance demanded innovative food-based approaches to fortify gut health suppress pathogens. We introduced a novel edible probiotic, Enterococcus faecalis HY0110, isolated from marine Thunnus thynnus. Through comprehensive in vitro, vivo, metabolomic analyses, we demonstrated its superior antibacterial effects compared Lactobacillus rhamnosus GG, along with significantly enhanced antioxidant free-radical scavenging capacities. Notably, elevated acetic acid production strongly correlated efficacy (R ≥ 0.999). HY0110 also exerted antiproliferative on HT-29 colorectal cancer cells by attenuating β-catenin BCL-2 expression while upregulating pro-apoptotic markers P62 c-PARP. In DSS-induced colitis model, alleviated inflammation, restored microbial homeostasis, deterministic processes community assembly dynamics. Furthermore, fermenting Periplaneta americana powder triggered extensive metabolic remodeling, notably 668.73-fold rise astragaloside A, plus increases L-Leucyl-L-Alanine, S-lactoylglutathione, 16,16-dimethyl prostaglandin A1. These shifts diminished harmful components amplified essential amino acids peptides bolster immune modulation, redox balance, anti-inflammatory responses. This work established transformative paradigm for utilizing probiotics entomological substrates functional foods, presenting strategic pathways precision nutrition management.

Background and Objectives: Colorectal cancer (CRC) is the fourth most commonly diagnosed third deadly in world. According to recent experimental reports, probiotics their derivatives protect CRC patients from treatment-related side effects. Therefore, present study aimed investigate cytotoxic impact of cell-free supernatant (CFS) Lentilactobacillus buchneri on HT-29 cell line. Materials Methods: In current study, we used L. CFS, which was well isolated identified our previous investigation traditional yogurt Arak region Iran. The apoptosis induction cells assessed by cytotoxicity, flow cytometry, qRT-PCR. Results: CFS inhibited proliferation a time- dose-dependent manner. apoptotic effect further supported cytometry data, showed that maximum incidence 50 observed treated with IC concentration after 72 hours. also exerted up-regulating expression pro-apoptotic genes including BAX, CASP9, CASP3. at an dose induced cycle arrest G0/G1 phase cells. Conclusion: This indicates can prevent colorectal development inducing apoptosis. finding suggests could be as therapeutic agent for control CRC.

At same time, incidence mortality vary among individuals regions, as does microbiota. In order to gain a better understanding characteristics in CRC patients differences different we initially compared 25 26 healthy controls central region China (Hubei Province) using 16S rRNA high-throughput sequencing technology. results showed that Corynebacterium, Enterococcus, Lactobacillus , Escherichia-Shigella were significantly enriched patients. addition, also potential functional pathways group control PICRUSt’s prediction analysis. We then analyzed it with five cohort studies from various regions China, including Central, East, Northeast China. found geographical factors may affect composition intestinal crucial information influences screening, early detection, outcomes.
