Gestational diabetes mellitus (GDM) is an escalating public health concern due to its association with short- and long-term adverse maternal child outcomes. Dysbiosis of microbiota within the gastrointestinal tract has been linked development GDM. Modification dysbiosis through dietary adjustments attracted considerable attention as adjunct strategies improve metabolic disease. Diets high in fibre polyphenol content are associated increased gut alpha diversity, reduced inflammation oxidative processes improved intestinal barrier function. This review explores potential supplementation prevent GDM by investigating their impact on composition

(1) Background: The incidence of gestational diabetes mellitus (GDM) is rising globally. current evidence indicates that GDM, especially in conjunction with maternal overweight, can alter the composition infants' gut microbiota, potentially increasing risk inflammatory diseases, metabolic disorders, and neurodevelopmental issues later life. Probiotic supplantation early life might establish eubiosis mitigate future complications. To best our knowledge, no study has evaluated effects probiotics on dysbiosis infants mothers GDM. (2) Methods: This will be a single-centre, double-blind, randomized, placebo-controlled trial enrolling sixty neonates born after 35 weeks gestation to participants randomly assigned receive either triple-strain probiotic or placebo for four months. primary objective assess effectiveness supplementation correcting GDM at months age. Introduction. Gestational diabetes mellitus (GDM) is one of the most common complications pregnancy and negatively affects health mothers infants. The aim this study was to explore associations between gut microbiota risk GDM amongst overweight/obese women, interaction dysbiosis overweight/obesity in pregnant women with GDM. Hypothesis/Gap statement. Previous studies revealed that there may be a link obesity, but these have not reported whilst remains unknown. Aim. Based on prospective cohort study, we explored composition its association Methodology. Participants (n=1820) were enrolled from Pregnancy Metabolic Disease Adverse Outcome Guangzhou, China, 2019 2021. participants’ information faecal samples collected, relative abundance profiled using 16S rRNA V4 region sequencing. Background/Objectives: There are indications that the microbial composition of maternal mucosal surfaces is associated with adverse events during pregnancy. The aim this review to investigate link between vaginal microbiome alterations and gestational complication risk. Methods: This comprehensive literature was performed using Medline Scopus databases. following search algorithm used, "Pregnancy Complications" [Mesh] AND (Vagin*), after screening, 44 studies were included in final review. Results: investigated association preterm birth, miscarriage, preeclampsia, ectopic pregnancy, diabetes mellitus, chorioamnionitis, premature rupture membranes. In most studies, it well established increased diversity these conditions. Also, depletion Lactobacillus species linked complications, while relative abundance especially crispatus may exert a protective effect favor pregnant woman. Several pathogenic taxa including Gardnerella, Prevotella, Sneathia, Bacterial Vaginosis-Associated Bacteria-2, Atopobium, Megasphera seem be correlated higher morbidity. Conclusions: Vaginal aberrations have an pregnancy-related events, but more high-quality homogenous necessary reliably verify link.

Abstract Introduction Gestational diabetes mellitus (GDM) is generally identified by measuring abnormal maternal glycemic responses to an oral glucose load in late pregnancy (> 0.6 term). However, our preliminary study suggests that GDM could be with a high predictive accuracy (96%) the first trimester (< 0.35 term) characteristic changes metabolite profile of urine. (Koos and Gornbein, 2021) Due gestational rise insulin resistance accompanying perturbations metabolome, urinary algorithm distinguishing versus CON early gestation likely differs from latter gestation. Objectives This was carried out 1) identify metabolites late-pregnancy urine are independently associated GDM, 2) select subgroup for model disorder, 3) compare this previously established pregnancy, 4) determine whether markers contribute decline sensitivity. Methods observational nested case-control comprised cohort 46 patients matched control subjects (CON). Random samples were collected at ≥ 24 weeks’ analyzed global metabolomics platform. A consensus three multivariate criteria used distinguish subjects, classification tree selected utilized compute separated vs CON. Results The groups similar respect age, pre-pregnancy BMI age collection [GDM 30.8\(\:\pm\:\)3.6(SD); [30.5\(\:\pm\:3.0\:weeks]\). Three eight simultaneously separating comprising five mitochondrial dysfunction inflammation/oxidative stress. five-level incorporating four predicted unweighted 89%. derived also had (85.9%). Conclusion linked diminished sensitivity glucose-stimulated release. models both supports notion phenotype may separate across large validation should conducted affirm noninvasive time-efficient technology identifying GDM.
