The present study aims to provide a specific protocol for transmission electron microscopy of sample skin rainbow trout affected by red mark syndrome (RMS). is disease that affects the (Oncorhynchus mykiss). disease, probably due Midichloria-like organism infection, not lethal, but morbidity can reach up 60%, leading significant economic impact associated with downgrading commercial product, increased labor, and susceptibility secondary infections. ultrastructure analyses allowed an earlier identify presence scattered microorganisms characterized oval shape, mainly in cytoplasm cells. developed this will be instrumental visualizing microorganism, which responsible infection.

Ex situ conservation is an important wildlife strategy, but endangered in captivity often exhibit high disease rates. Commensal microorganisms are vital for homeostasis, immunity, and linked to diseases. This study analyzed the structure, assembly, variations of symbiotic microbiota crocodile lizard, their relationship with environment, as well effects on them, explore why captive reptiles face dermatosis Results showed that reptile's significantly differ from its habitat, demonstrating niche specificity. While species richness among organs no significant differences, microbial diversity varied considerably. Skin site-specific clustering. The assembly skin, oral, intestinal bacterial communities was dominated by homogeneous selection. gut oral networks were resilient disturbances, while skin network sensitive. Captivity primarily affected microbiota, reducing stability, thereby increasing risk, these not solely attributable environmental changes. These findings suggested changes may be responsible increased susceptibility ex conservation. underscored importance understanding reptile-associated microbes effective strategies offers potential solutions.
