Finding and characterizing new bacterial strains, including probiotic is a crucial task in today’s world to expand the genetic data pool identify genes. In this study, we investigated gut microbiota of one industrial species, Cyprinus carpio, identified representatives various microbial genera, Citrobacter, Serratia, Bacillus, Enterococcus, Kocuria. Notably, discovered two strains Hafnia with potentially properties. We conducted next-generation sequencing (NGS) these described their antibiotic resistance antibacterial activity, compared them other genus. These characterized by rapid growth, presence ClpB heat shock protein gene, genes associated microplastic degradation, provide promising basis for further research, studies on potential application plastic biodegradation.

Abstract For various kinds of mammals and insects, including humans, the composition roles intestinal microbial populations have been clarified; however, less is understood concerning gut microbiota mollusks. Lanistes carinatus (L. carinatus), Cleopatra, Helisoma duryi (H. duryi) explore their microbiota. Lysinibacillus macroides (L. macroides), Kurthia huakuii (K. huakuii) Enterococcus faecium (E. faecium) were isolated from L. carinatus, Cleopatra H. duryi, respectively. macroides, K. E. demonstrated no hemolytic DNase activity. Furthermore, three potential probiotic bacteria showed antimicrobial efficacy towards Staphylococcus (Staph.) aureus, Escherichia (E.) coli, Salmonella (S.) typhi Pseudomonas (Ps.) aeruginosa. The cell free supernatant (CFS) derived probiotics non-significant cytotoxicity against Caco2 cells in all tested dilutions. In addition, bacterial isolates displayed significant tolerance to a wide range pH values bile salt concentrations (0.3% 0.7% w/v). isolates-maintained sensitivity antibiotics except for who exhibited resistance tetracycline while was resistant gentamycin. explored investigate population structure where it dominated with two main phyla difference Proteobacteria Bacteroidetes. purposes investigation establish obtained freshwater snails ability as promising promoting health benefits humans or animals.

Background: Over the past decade, probiotics have gained increasing recognition for their health benefits to host. While most research has focused on therapeutic effects of in treatment various diseases, recent years seen a shift towards exploring role enhancing and supporting overall health. Methods: In this work, we studied novel potential probiotic strain, Lactiplantibacillus pentosus PE11, healthy mice following six-week dietary intervention. The assessment included monitoring general animals, biochemical analyses, profiling gut fecal microbial communities, gene expression analysis. Results: Our results showed that administration PE11 led changes composition microbiome, specifically an increase Firmicutes/Bacteroidetes ratio relative abundance Lachnospiraceae, Ruminococcaceae, Rikenellaceae families. Reduced Tnf elevated Zo1 were also observed cecum, pointing anti-inflammatory properties improved intestinal barrier integrity. Additionally, significant reduction triglycerides alanine aminotransferase levels—within physiological ranges—was observed, along with trend toward decreased total cholesterol levels. Conclusions: These findings suggest mice, positively influence microbiome structure metabolism, thereby
