In recent decades, many fungi have emerged as major causes of disease in marine mammals. This study reports on the detection filamentous subcutaneous tissue and wound surface tail fin a managed bottlenose dolphin (Tursiops truncatus) emaciated due to severe digestive problems. Immunosuppression by chronic diseases starvation decreased resistance against opportunistic infections. Sequencing analysis revealed that were Fusarium oxysporum, antifungal susceptibility testing was performed. tissue, dematiaceous identified using histopathological examination. Combination treatment with voriconazole terbinafine surgical resection performed, addition daily debridement polyaminopropyl biguanide (PHMB) betaine. Hematological examination reduction inflammatory markers after necrotic edge fin. The co-administration synergistic agents terbinafine, conjunction debridement, successfully eliminated pheohyphomycosis fusariomycosis dolphin. Wound healing achieved systematic antifungals PHMB is first report successful combination therapy resection.
