The ever-growing environmental and sustainability awareness as well the associated increased independence from petroleum has led to bio-based materials increasingly replacing synthetic, non-renewable in various applications, including food packaging, coatings, adhesives, energy storage devices. Although offer advantages such reduced toxicity harmfulness for humans environment, contributing conservation of important resources, these aspects are usually not sufficient commercialization. Integrating into existing technologies is challenging due inherent disadvantages, difficult processability low moisture resistance, making it readily substitute them synthetic materials. Consequently, surface modifications often necessary make suitable intended applications. This review highlights critical role processing methods successful substitution with alternatives. While previous studies have primarily concentrated on material combinations formulations considering secondary, this explores influence importance dispersion quality. It examines how varying dispersing process parameters can impact performance materials, alongside addressing specific requirements both processes. Furthermore, focuses dispersions based lignin polysaccharides, particularly applications adhesives binders battery technologies. By aspects, aims reveal research gaps provide insights optimizing diverse
