This review explores the multiple directions of industrial hemp (Cannabis sativa L.) utilization at a global level, highlighting importance this crop as renewable, sustainable, and environmentally friendly resource. While has traditionally been employed for production fibers, seeds, medicinal products, recent studies have expanded its applications into innovative fields such eco-friendly construction materials (e.g., hempcrete composite materials), automotive aerospace industries, cosmetics, biofuels, others. The remarkable properties hemp, including low density, superior mechanical strength, carbon sequestration capability, moisture regulation, help reduce energy consumption enhance performance materials, thereby providing competitive advantages in sustainability-oriented sectors. Moreover, extracts oils, rich bioactive compounds (essential fatty acids, vitamins, antioxidants, cannabinoids), demonstrated therapeutic potential, reinforcing role development food, cosmetic, pharmaceutical products. Additionally, significantly contributes to phytoremediation by absorbing heavy metals contaminants from soil, fibers stand out their durability resistance, being valued textile industry ecological characteristics performance. Industrial stands high versatility, valuable along with favorable environmental impact, support integration wide range sectors, opening promising perspectives more sustainable responsible future.
