Elevated levels of cadmium (Cd) and lead (Pb) in the edible parts rice (Oryza sativa L.) grown agricultural soils may enter human body through food chain, posing significant health risks. In this study, paired rhizosphere soil samples were collected from 194 locations Jiangsu Province, China, with 60 selected for diffusive gradients thin films (DGT) extraction analysis. The findings indicate that total concentrations Cd Pb are inadequate assessing bioavailability, implying current quality standards not accurately reflect bioaccessible fractions these metals. Both DGT solution measurements effectively predicted crop levels, effective concentration (CE) derived DGT-induced flux (DIFS) model showing strongest correlation content. Pearson analysis a random forest (RF) further identified critical factors influencing uptake Pb, including iron (Fe) content, cation exchange capacity (CEC), pH, zinc (Zn) selenium (Se), which antagonize uptake.
