Abstract Chemical components in the hexane‐extract mixture from Phalaenopsis leaves were isolated and identified during spike induction process. Several lipophilic as oleic acid, 1,2‐O‐dilinolenoyl‐MGDG, 1‐O‐linolenoyl‐2‐O‐linoleoyl‐MGDG, α‐tocopherol by HPLC NMR techniques. It is noteworthy that only one isomer of was based on spectra analysis. MGDG have a great potential to be control factor regulation process Phalaenopsis. first time identify chemical related temperature‐controlled These hydrophilic hydrophobic moieties same molecule act amphiphiles. The use entire mixed hexane extract form liposomes containing dmbpyPtCl 2 complex greatly enhanced reactivity for inhibiting E. coli growth compared with single amphiphile.

Fatty acid analysis is an essential step in evaluating the potential of macroalgae for biodiesel production. An extraction method was developed to simultaneously analyze up five types biodiesel-fuel-related fatty acids (myristic acid, palmitic cis-palmitvaccenic stearic and oleic acid) using liquid chromatography tandem mass spectrometry (LC–MS/MS). Lypophilization solid-phase (SPE) techniques were applied improve efficiency effectively purify samples. The optimal conditions SPE set by comparing recoveries according various solvent each (loading, washing, elution). In addition, introduction trimethylaminoethyl (TMAE) derivatives hydroxyl group target analyte increased ionization sensitivity. derivatized samples analyzed LC–MS/MS with electrospray positive multiple-reaction monitoring modes. analytes separated detected within 13.5 min a CAPCELL PAK C18 MGII S3 column. Gradient elution performed distilled water acetonitrile containing 5 mM ammonium acetate. This offers reliable sensitive tool their use To best our knowledge, this first report on simultaneous determination TMAE derivatization.

Cinnamomum tamala leaf (CTL), also known as Indian bay leaf, is used all over the world for seasoning, flavoring, and medicinal purposes. These characteristics could be explained by presence of several essential bioactive substances lipid derivatives. In this work, rapid screening identification chemical compounds in supercritical (SC)-CO2 extracts CTL use UPLC-Q-TOF-MSE with a multivariate statistical analysis approach was established both negative positive mode. A total 166 metabolites, including 66 monocarboxylic fatty acids, 52 dicarboxylic 27 acid amides, 21 cinnamic derivatives, were tentatively identified based on accurate mass spectrometric fragmentation pattern, out which 142 common SC-CO2 CTL. Further, PCA cluster hierarchical clearly discriminated profile analyzed allowed selection extract rich other constituents. The result showed that higher number detected CTL4 (300 bar/55 °C) than extracts. mono- di-carboxylic derivatives first time. combined chemometric powerful method to rapidly screen metabolite profiling justify quality flavoring agent functional foods.

The octadecanoids are a broad class of lipids consisting the oxygenated products 18-carbon fatty acids. Originally referring to production phytohormone jasmonic acid, octadecanoid pathway has been expanded include all Octadecanoids formed biosynthetically in mammals via cyclooxygenase (COX), lipoxygenase (LOX), and cytochrome P450 (CYP) activity, as well nonenzymatically by photo- autoxidation mechanisms. While well-known mediators plants, their role regulation mammalian biological processes generally neglected. However, there have significant advancements recognizing importance these compounds involvement mediation inflammation, nociception, cell proliferation, immuno- tissue modulation, coagulation processes, hormone regulation, skin barrier formation. More recently, gut microbiome shown be source biosynthesis, providing additional biosynthetic routes including hydratase activity (e.g., CLA-HY, FA-HY1, FA-HY2). In this review, we summarize current field octadecanoids, propose standardized nomenclature, provide details preparation measurement, phase-I metabolic formation mammals, bacteria, fungi, describe relation pathophysiology potential use biomarkers health disease.
