Turnera is a genus of plants whose biological activity has been widely studied. The importance this genus, particularly diffusa, as source treatment for various conditions evidenced by the large number new studies that have evaluated its activity. Accordingly, objective review was to compile information published in last ten years concerning activities reported spp. present work includes 92 publications evaluate 29 bioactivities and toxicological genotoxic on five species genus. Among pharmacological effects reported, antioxidant, hepatoprotective, neuroprotective, hypoglycemic, aphrodisiac seem more promising. Phytochemicals standardized plant extracts could offer alternative therapeutic remedies diseases. Although several flavonoids, cyanogenic glycosides, monoterpenoids, triterpenoids, fatty acids isolated plants, future research should focus identification main active principles responsible these activities, well perform clinical trials support laboratory results.

Despite intense research efforts, no approved effective therapies are available for dengue treatment.Standardized plant extracts could serve as potential candidates developing plant-based treatments dengue. We have compared the anti-dengue of ethanolic (EtOH) and supercritical (SCO2) Lippia origanoides Kunth (Verbenacea). The mode antiviral action effect on release IL-β from DENV-1-stimulated macrophages (PMA/THP-1) were evaluated. In silico analyses performed to predict molecular interactions between flavonoids identified in UHPLC-ESI+-Orbitrap-MS analysis target proteins. The EtOH extract showed a strong (IC50, 22 17 µg/mL; SI, 20 23) before during DENV-1 adsorption liver (HepG-2) cells.SCO2 weak effect.EtOH, but not SCO2, reduced level IL-1β released PMA/THP-1 cells by 45-55%.Flavonoid glycosides SCO2.Seventeen predicted bind DENV E, GRP78, CLEC5A, NLRP3 proteins involved replication production. The data provide first step towards defining L. candidate phytotherapeutics dengue.
