The 3D Zn(II) coordination polymer {[Zn3(L)(4,4′-bpy)]}n (GTU-3) was prepared with a novel hexapod-shaped molecular building block, hexakis(methyl-2-(4-phenoxyphenyl)acetatebenzene) cyclotriphosphazene (H6L1) by solvothermal reaction in dimethylformamide (DMF). characterized FTIR, thermal analysis, SEM-EDX, BET, powder X-ray diffraction and single crystal techniques. GTU-3 consists of six crystallographically independent Zn2+ ions, two fully deprotonated cyclophosphazene-based ligands, 4,4′-bipyridines (4,4′-bpy). In the complex, flexible multisite bridging ligand (H6L) completely deprotonated. exhibited relatively good catalytic activity toward Rhodamine B (RhB) removal aqueous solution. A 0.4 g/L amount could degrade 10 mg/L solution RhB up to 76.5% presence peroxymonosulfate (PMS) oxidant 1 h. kinetic studies showed that degradation process followed pseudo-first-order kinetic. By extending time 5 h, efficiency reached 95.3%. Under same conditions, Methylene Blue (MB) Acid Red 17 (AR17) dyes were degraded 86.2% 52.8%, respectively.

Zn(II) coordination polymers are being increasingly studied for their stability and properties. Similarly, there is a growing interest in imidazo[1,5-a]pyridine derivatives, which show great potential luminescence pharmaceutical applications. In this work, we successfully synthesized crystallized three new polymers, using as the metallic node, dicarboxylic acids of different length nature linkers, linear ditopic derivative, to explore role molecule propagator dimensionality structure or an ancillary ligand. Our work demonstrates structural capability imidazo[1,5-a]pyridines unexplored domain family ligands. Notably, observed pronounced ability heterocyclic scaffold establish π···π interactions solid state. The supramolecular π-stacked assemblies were theoretically analyzed DFT calculations based on model structures.

Abstract A novel zinc(II) polymer based on pyridine sulfonyl amino acid, namely [Zn(HL)(H 2 O) ] n ·4H O ( 1 ) (HL=(1-carboxylato-2-hydroxypropyl)(pyridin-3-sulfonyl)-threonine), was synthesized by reacting Zn(NO 3 ·6H with H L in a mixed solvent solution of MeCN/EtOH/H under acidic conditions. Single crystal X-ray diffraction analysis revealed that the crystallized trigonal system, space group P 21. Notably, unit cell as-formed contains only one crystallographically independent ion, and divalent anion ligand HL adopts coordination pattern η :η :μ . The central ions are connected bridging through pyridyl nitrogen carboxy oxygen atoms to form an infinite helix chain. Furthermore, numerous hydrogen bonds were observed among these chains, joining them into 2D supramolecular network. Finally, complex is stacked along helical axis yield three-dimensional structure. Additionally, thermal stability photoluminescence properties determined discussed.

This review highlights the most recent applications of Cd(II)-carboxylate-based coordination polymers (Cd(II)-CBCPs), such as sensors, catalysts, and storage materials, in comparison with those Zn(II) counterparts. A wide range species luminescence properties were designed by using proper organic fluorophores, especially a carboxylate bridging ligand combined an ancillary N-donor species, both rigid structure. These characteristics, arrangement Cd(II)-CBCPs' structure intermolecular interaction, enable sensing behavior plethora various inorganic pollutants. In addition, Lewis acid Cd(II) was investigated either developing valuable heterogeneous catalysts acetalization, cyanosilylation, Henry or Strecker reactions, Knoevenagel condensation, dyes drug elimination from wastewater through photocatalysis.
