Several factors influence this complex relationship; genetic, environmental psychosocial come into play in pathophysiology fibrillation. These are expressed differently women men. However, analysis has shown that comparison works sexes extremely rare. Most population-based prospective studies either aggregated or focus exclusively male female populations. results a lack information could be useful prevention treatment approach It is necessary deepen issue with dedicated studies.

Chemoresistance is the major cause of cancer recurrence, relapse and eventual death. Doxorubicin resistance one such challenge in breast cancer. The use quercetin, an antioxidant, combination with doxorubicin has been investigated for offering protection to normal cells from toxic side effects addition modulation its resistance. present study aimed investigate quercetin prevention a doxorubicin‑chemoresistant phenotype both doxorubicin‑sensitive ‑resistant human MCF‑7 cell lines. A doxorubicin‑resistant line was established. development resistant closely monitored changes morphological features. Sensitivity doxorubicin/quercetin assessed using tetrazolium assay. To determine mechanism by which sensitizes MCF‑7‑resistant doxorubicin, gene expression alterations cancer‑related genes were examined reverse transcription‑quantitative PCR (RT‑qPCR) array technology. Resistant MCF successfully developed inhibitory concentration (IC50) value increased 0.133 4 µM (wild‑type resistant). quercetin/doxorubicin exhibited different on wild‑type vs. cells. IC50 reduced wild cells, whereas showed increase viability at lower concentrations potentiation only higher concentrations. Annexin V/propidium iodide staining demonstrated that drives into late apoptosis necrosis, but necrosis predominates. RT‑qPCR results revealed led reversal via up‑ downregulation important as SNAI2, PLAU CSF1 genes. Downregulation migration genes, SNAI2 (‑31.23‑fold) plasminogen activator, urokinase (PLAU; ‑30.62‑fold), apoptotic pathway gene, colony stimulating factor 1 (CSF1; ‑17.25‑fold) most querticin‑associated events. Other also observed involving cycle arrest DNA repair pathways. indicated could lead CSF1. Such findings may represent potential strategy reversing cell‑related chemoresistance.

Sepsis is a syndrome of organ dysfunction caused by an uncontrolled inflammatory response, which can seriously endanger life. Currently, there still shortage specific therapeutic drugs. Quercetin and its natural derivatives have received lot attention recently for their potential in treating sepsis. Here, we provide comprehensive summary the recent research progress on quercetin derivatives, with focus mechanisms antioxidation anti-inflammation. To obtain necessary information, conducted search PubMed, Web Science, EBSCO, Cochrane library databases using keywords sepsis, anti-inflammatory, antioxidant, anti-infection, quercetin, to identify relevant from 6315 articles published last five years. At present, 11 been intensively studied. They primarily exert anti-inflammation effects through PI3K/AKT/NF-κB, Nrf2/ARE, MAPK pathways. The feasibility these compounds experimental models clinical application were also discussed. In conclusion, good treatment

Abstract Diabetic nephropathy is one of the most common leading causes end-stage renal disease with multifactorial pathophysiological mechanisms. TGF-β1 and Hippo pathway have been reported to significant role in different kidney diseases. In addition, ferulic acid (FA) has proposed pharmacological actions disorders such as Alzheimer, diabetes mellitus, kidney, cardiovascular diseases but limited oral use due poor absorbance bioavailability. So, recent trends aim include FA nano-formulations improve its bioavailability make best when administered orally. Thirty Sprague Dawley male rats were divided into five groups ( n = 6). After 28 days, sacrificed, serum tissue isolated, histopathological examination, creatinine level oxidative status biomarkers estimated, besides ELISA measurements TGF-β1, PTEN, COX2, GLUT3 relative gene expressions MST1 TEAD4 by qRT-PCR. Treated show improvement investigated parameters variable degrees. Noteworthy, nano-formulation shows superior action over double native form.
