A series of commercial silica-supported polyoxometalate ionic liquids ([Cnmim]3PMo12O40) with different substitutes in the imidazole ring were prepared via a facile ball milling method and employed as catalysts oxidative desulfurization organosulfur compounds. The experimental results demonstrated that active center was successfully immobilized highly uniform dispersion on silica. Without any organic solvent extractant, sulfur removal sample C16PMo/SiO2-BM reached 99.5% 30 min under optimal condition, which ascribed to high specific surface area lipophilicity. In addition, site verified by free radical trapping experiment an ESR spin capture experiment. product confirmed GC-MS analysis.
