In 2020, China put forward the national energy and economic development strategy goal of “carbon peak carbon neutrality”; in this context, hydrogenation dioxide into clean high-value-added chemicals can effectively alleviate current environmental pressure. This process represents a crucial avenue for advancement green realisation sustainable strategy. Among efficient catalysts designed CO2 reactions, transition metal cobalt has garnered extensive attention from researchers due to its relatively abundant reserves low cost. paper first introduces thermodynamic discusses methods improve efficiency catalytic reaction perspective. It then briefly describes mechanism cobalt-based reaction. Based on understanding, reviews recent research application produce methane, hydrocarbon chemicals, alcohols. Finally, these are discussed, future directions proposed.
