This article considers modern approaches to obtaining synthetic oil from unconventional hydrocarbon feedstocks, including plastic waste, tires, biomass, coal, and extra-heavy oil. Particular attention is paid multi-stage technologies, such as pyrolysis, catalytic depolymerization, gasification followed by Fischer–Tropsch synthesis, hydrocracking of heavy residues. The important role catalysts in increasing the selectivity economic efficiency processes noted: nanostructured, bifunctional, pollution-resistant systems are increasingly used. Economic factors influencing competitiveness this industry considered, volatility prices for traditional oil, government support measures, development waste logistics infrastructure. It emphasized that strengthening position associated with growth environmental requirements stimulating recycling plastics, biomass; at same time, compliance high standards transparency emission control play a critical social aspects projects. In addition improving situation, contributes creation jobs, resolution problems shortage classical fields, increase energy security. concluded further improvement technologies integration into industrial clusters can turn sphere significant component future sector.
