As an important inflammatory cytokine, interleukin-6 (IL-6) can mediate the entire pathological process of periodontitis and is closely associated with degree inflammation. Therefore, it critical to develop convenient quantitative methods for monitoring IL-6 quantity in gingival crevicular fluid. In this study, methylene blue (MB)-decorated reduced graphene oxide (rGO) employed as signal probe further support antibody-enabling specific recognition IL-6. Due π-π stacking electrostatic interactions, rGO-MB nanocomposites be stably obtained. rGO good conductivity large surface area characteristics promotes redox signals MB on glassy carbon electrode (GCE). addition, through simple situ self-polymerization dopamine, polydopamine (PDA) obtained not only directly used a biological crosslinking agent covalent immobilization anti-IL-6 antibody but also regarded protective layer enhance stability GCE surface. Such designed PDA/rGO-MB/GCE-based immunosensor enables binding produces decreased electrochemical MB, realizing selective sensitive measurement Consequently, our fabricated has excellent linear relationship ranging from 1 pg/mL 100 ng/mL, limit detection low 0.48 pg/mL. Moreover, as-prepared sensing strategy shows accurate fluid samples.
