Pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma (PDA) is a highly challenging malignancy to treat, with high mortality rate and limited therapeutic options. Despite advances in cancer research, the prognosis for patients diagnosed PDA often poor due late-stage detection resistance conventional therapies. Consequently, there growing interest potential of bioactive compounds as alternative or adjuvant treatments, given their ability target multiple aspects biology, offering more holistic approach treatment. In context PDA, certain compounds, such polyphenols (found fruits, vegetables, tea), flavonoids, carotenoids cruciferous have shown inhibiting cell growth, reducing inflammation, promoting apoptosis. This review aims elucidate mechanisms, by which these exert effects, modulating oxidative stress, influencing inflammatory pathways regulating survival death. It also highlights current clinical trials that are paving way toward incorporating natural agents into mainstream treatment strategies, goal boosting efficacy therapies PDA.
