The demand for energy has increased tremendously around the whole world due to rapid urbanization and booming industrialization. Energy is major key achieving an improved social life, but production utilization processes are main contributors environmental pollution greenhouse gas emissions. Mitigation of crisis reduction in (water air) difficulties leading research topics nowadays. Carbonaceous materials offer some best solutions minimize these problems easy effective way. It also advantageous that sources carbon-based economical, synthesis comfortable, applications environmentally friendly. Among carbonaceous materials, activated carbons, graphene, carbon nanotubes have shown outstanding performance mitigating pollution. These three exhibit unique adsorption properties storage, water purification, cleansing their electrical conductivity, large specific surface areas, strong mechanical strength. This paper reviews methods nanotubes, graphene significant treatment, dioxide capture improve sustainability.

Abstract The 2030 Agenda, established in 2015, contains seventeen Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) aimed at addressing global challenges. SDG-06, focused on clean water, drives the increase basic sanitation coverage, management of wastewater discharges, and water quality. Wastewater treatment could contribute to achieving 11 17 SDGs. For this purpose, phytoremediation is a low-cost adaptable alternative reduction control aquatic pollutants. objective study highlight role macrophytes removal degradation these compounds, focusing Eichhornia crassipes (Mart.) Solms, commonly known as hyacinth. reported values indicate that plant has capacity over 70% for metals such copper, aluminum, lead, mercury, cadmium, metalloids arsenic. Additionally, it significantly improves quality parameters turbidity, suspended solids, pH, dissolved oxygen, color. It also reduces presence phosphates, nitrogen compounds below 50%. plays significant organic contaminants pesticides, pharmaceuticals, dyes. This describes several valuable by-products from biomass hyacinth, including animal fish feed, energy generation (such briquettes), ethanol, biogas, composting. According analysis carried out, E. great phytoremediation, which makes viable solution management, with potential ecosystem restoration. Graphical abstract
