The construction of semiconductor heterojunction photocatalysts that improve the separation and transfer photoinduced charge carriers is an effective widely employed strategy to boost photocatalytic performance. Herein, we have successfully constructed a CdS/Ag/Bi2WO6 Z-scheme with Ag-bridge as channel by facile process. heterostructure consists both CdS Ag nanoparticles anchored on surface Bi2WO6 nanosheets. efficiency system was studied decontamination tetracycline (TC) Rhodamine B (RhB) under visible light irradiation (λ ≥ 420). results exhibited shows markedly higher performance than CdS, Bi2WO6, Ag/Bi2WO6, CdS/Bi2WO6. trapping experiment verified •O2− h+ radicals are key active species. photoluminescence spectral analysis photocurrent responses indicated heterojunctions exhibit exceptional in separating transferring electron−hole pairs. Based series characterization results, boosted activity mostly due successful formation Ag-bridged heterojunction; these can not only inhibit recombination rate but also possess splendid redox capacity. work provides way for designing based boosting
