Silica-based
hybrid

gained
a
lot
of
interests
from
the
technological
point
view.
In
particular,
several
inorganic-organic
hybrids
find
application
in
biomedical
field.

inorganic
SiO
2
and
made
up
polyethylene
glycol
(PEG)
been
synthesised
via
sol-gel
route
characterised
morphological
(throught
Atomic
Force
Microscopy
-
AFM)
spectroscopic
view
to
shed
light
on
their
features
as
possible
biomaterials.
AFM
investigation
allowed
for
an
effective
quantitative
evaluation
surface
roughness
bioactive
sol-gel-based
materials.
The
results
revealed
increase
material
porosity
function
PEG
amount
systems,
thus
highlighting
pivotal
role
compatibilizing
silica-based
blends.
co-presence
both
organic
phases
was
confirmed
by
Fourier-transform
infrared
spectroscopy
(FT-IR).
Moreover,
influence
also
investigated
analysing
deconvoluted
FT-IR
spectra
range
1600-750
cm
−1
.
