This study investigated the effect of Ramadan fasting on body composition, caloric intake, and training load in 10 female rugby players. Assessments were conducted during three periods: one week before Ramadan, first last Ramadan. Results revealed that compared to there was a decrease (ηp2 = 0.90), waist circumference 0.84), mass 0.68), fat 0.73), index 0.70). Conversely, participants consumed more lipids than it 0.67). Moreover, higher related lower (rs -0.69) protein intake 0.62). players may induce specific changes load.

Despite the high risk of eating disorder (ED)-related attitudes and behaviors among female dancers, targeted scientific dietary regimens are currently inadequate. Time-restricted (TRE), a popular intermittent fasting protocol, has been shown to be effective in enhancing body composition exercise performance athletes. In this study, TRE was employed as regimen improve address ED DanceSport dancers.

Abstract Aging of the organism is associated diminished response to external stimuli including weakened immune function, resulting in diseases that impair health and lifespan. Several dietary restriction modalities have been reported improve lifespan different animal models, but it unknown whether any lifespan-extending treatments could be combined achieve an additive effect. Here, we investigated effects halving amino acids components HUNTaa diet, a synthetic medium known extend Drosophila. We found by entire acid (DR group) further resistance oxidative stress, desiccation starvation than flies on diet alone (wt group). Transcriptome analysis Drosophila at 40, 60, 80 days age revealed genes related cell proliferation metabolism decreased with wt group, whereas background stimulus increased age. However, these trends differed DR is, had downregulated stress genes, reduced activation. Infection experiments demonstrated survived longer after feeding infection Serratia marcescens Enterococcus faecalis, suggesting stronger therefore senescence. These results extended suggested treatment beneficial results.

Background Increased basketball game frequency may affect athlete performances, especially during Ramadan intermittent fasting (RIF). The objective of the present investigation was to assess impacts increased periods crossing RIF on body composition, sleep habits, indices well-being, recovery state, and dietary intake in professional male players. Methods Twenty-eight players participated this study were divided into increased-games-frequency (INCR) or normal-games-frequency (NORM) groups. INCR trained four times completed two games per week, whereas NORM only one week. During first fourth weeks RIF, following variables assessed: internal load (weekly session rating perceived exertion (s-RPE), heartrate (HR)), intake, quality (PSQI survey), well-being questionnaire (sleep, fatigue, stress, delayed onset muscle soreness (DOMS)), state with Total Quality Recovery (TQR) questionnaire. Results significantly after 4 compared ( p < 0.001). Significant decrease TQR, duration, a significant increase DOMS for (26.93%, 0.001, ES = 0.48, small; 33.83%, 0.40, 161.17%, 0.32, respectively). group × time interaction observed mass 0.006, 0.46, small) fat percentage 0.025, 0.33, small), having greater all these values. Conclusion period decreases mass, players, which consequently performance health.
