Introduction:
Short-chain
fatty
acids
(SCFAs)
improve
lipid
profile
and
prevent
coronary
artery
disease.
Searching
for
nutrition
based
on
local
foods
that
might
raise
the
body's
SCFA
levels
is
imperative.
Porang
(Amorphophallus
muelleri)
a
plant
with
high
concentration
of
glucomannan
investigated
to
have
healthy
benefit.
This
study
aimed
investigate
effect
from
(A.muelleri)
in
Wistar
rats
high-fat,
high-fructose
diet.Methods:
was
an
experimental
randomized
post-test-only
control
group
design.
Thirty
male
were
divided
into
five
groups:
normal
group,
negative
given
diet,
treatment
groups
25mg,
50mg,
or
100mg/200gBW.
Twenty-eight
days
after
intervention,
level
measured
using
gas
chromatography–masstry
(GC/MS).
Data
analyzed
SPSS.Results:
The
50
mg/200gBW
has
highest
mean
(3.98±0.83
nmol/ml)
compared
(1.56±0.24),
(2.18±0.45),
25mg/200gBW
(1.81±0.26),
100mg/200gBW
(2.58±0.38).
Kruskal
Wallis
test
showed
significant
differences
among
(p<0.001).
Post
hoc
revealed
mg
significantly
higher
than
group.Conclusion:
Glucomannan
at
doses
improves
short-chain
acid
high-fat
diets.

Hypertension
is
a
non-communicable
disease
that
currently
top
priority
for
global
health.
Commonly
offered
anti-hypertensive
pharmacological
therapies
such
as
ACE-inhibitors
are
known
to
have
side
effects
in
long-term
use,
unlike
herbal
glucomannan,
which
has
been
used
treatment
patients
with
type
2
diabetes.
The
purpose
of
this
study
was
see
what
effect
applying
glucomannan
supplements
6
hours
had
on
blood
pressure
parameters
obtained
from
the
wistar
rat
subjects
who
hypertension.
Twenty
five
male
Wistar
rats
normal
systolic
(sBP)

were
involved
study;
they
received
10%
high
salt
diet
