Weight loss solutions are on the rise, and there is growing interest in natural alternatives to pharmaceuticals market, which not devoid of relevant side effects. To this end, objective current study was assess effects a botanical-based blend comprised lemon verbena hibiscus extracts weight management, body fat, appetite, lipid, glucose profiles an overweight population for 90 days. The volunteers presented significant absence diet (approximately 3 kg, −3.4% total weight), coincided with decreased fat (−1.7%, equivalent almost 6% decrease compared initial value). Body assessed by anthropometry, electrical bioimpedance DEXA scans. Cholesterol levels were also significantly 7% decrease). Satiety assessment revealed that product contributed increased feeling fullness satisfaction after meal placebo group, could contribute observed. Blood blood pressure remained unchanged, expected as normoglycemic their healthy range. In conclusion, daily supplementation contributes individuals diet, while affecting other parameters This be candidate alternative or add-on products part lifestyle.

Abstract The prevalence of neurodegenerative diseases, such as Alzheimer’s disease and Parkinson’s disease, is steadily increasing, posing significant challenges to global healthcare systems. Emerging evidence suggests that dietary habits, particularly consumption high-fat diets specify which fats, may play a pivotal role in the development progression disorders. Moreover, several studies have shed light on intricate communication between gut brain, known gut-brain axis its involvement processes. This study aims assess effects intake various aspects neuronal function during aging following gender separation help understand potential contributions diet function. To investigate diet, Drosophila melanogaster was used exposed standard normal food (NF) (HF). Adults were grouped at 10 45 days age male female flies reared under same conditions. Multiple assays conducted, showing differential gender- HF diet-induced oxidative stress levels determined by malondialdehyde (MDA) measurements, enhanced caspase-3 expression reduced climbing activity. Adult lifespan both conditions unchanged but odour-associated learning ability larvae diet. first characterise phenotypes an age- gender-specific manner model. Our findings suggest induces forms dysfunction with sex-specific outcomes, characterised cell death impacts behavioural functions.

Nowadays phospholipids are widely used as hepatoprotective, neuroprotective and anti-stress drugs, well the dietary supplements. Besides, lecithin consisting up to 70% of mixture: phosphatidylcholine, phosphatidylethanolamine, phosphatidylinositol phosphatidic acid, is often component food production an emulsifier. Dose these biologically active substances in modern human diet could be quite high. Previously we have shown that chronic intestinal inflammation Muc2-knockout mice induces behavioral changes along with significant increase content epithelial cells, particularly, phosphatidylserine acid. Here investigate effects long-term administration a mixture phospholipids, soy on patterns laboratory mice. Animals taken phospholipid shows no normally observed preference towards females two intruders test (with female male). In social odor test, they also did not distinguish male odors, while non-social odors discrimination preserved. addition, identified decrease anxiety, obsessive traits, schizophrenia-like behavior traits animals. Soy supplementation had similar compulsive increased aggression males. Thus, perinatal either (phosphatidylcholine, acid) or can influence various aspects
