Abstract INTRODUCTION Sleep disturbances are associated with Alzheimer's disease (AD) and related dementias (ADRD), but the relationship between sleep architecture, particularly rapid eye movement (REM) sleep, AD/ADRD biomarkers remains unclear. METHODS We enrolled 128 adults (64 disease, 41 mild cognitive impairment [MCI], 23 normal cognition [NC]), mean age 70.8 ± 9.6 years, 56.9% female, from a tertiary hospital in China. Participants underwent overnight polysomnography (PSG), amyloid β (Aβ) positron emission tomography (PET), plasma biomarker analysis: phosphorylated tau at threonine 181 (p‐tau181), neurofilament light (NfL), brain‐derived neurotrophic factor (BDNF). RESULTS After adjusting for demographics, apolipoprotein E ( APOE ) ε4 status, cognition, comorbidities, highest tertile of REM latency was higher Aβ burden = 0.08, 95% confidence interval [CI]: 0.03 to 0.13, p 0.002), elevated p‐tau181 0.19, CI: 0.02 reduced BDNF levels ‐0.47, –0.68 –0.13, 0.013), compared lowest tertile. Eating disorders (ED) are psychological characterized by dangerous eating behaviours, including protracted fasting and binge eating. Low energy availability (LEA) has been associated with several physiological consequences, but its impact on sleep not sufficiently investigated, especially in the context of young athletes. This study examined potential association between (EA) status and objective quality 42 male rugby players (mean age: 16.2 ± 0.8 years) during a 7-day follow-up fixed schedules midst an intensive training phase. Participants’ intake was weighed recorded. Exercise expenditure estimated using accelerometry. Portable polysomnography devices captured last night follow-up. Nearly one-third of all stroke patients develop depression at any time after a stroke, and its presence is associated with unfavorable outcomes. This narrative review aims to provide synopsis possible pharmacological non-pharmacological treatment modalities for post-stroke (PSD). Several studies have demonstrated the efficacy safety selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors in treating symptoms this clinical condition. (1) Background: Gamma-aminobutyric acid (GABA) is one of the inhibitory neurotransmitters with beneficial effects including sedative property. However, despite various clinical trials, scientific evidence regarding impact orally ingested GABA, whether natural or synthesized through biological pathways, on sleep not clear.; (2) Methods: The present study work evaluated GABA-A biding affinity GABALAGEN(GBL), a low-molecular-weight collagen infused receptor binding assays. Grounding, a therapeutic technique involving direct contact with the earth, has been proposed by various studies to potentially have beneficial effects on pressure, sleep quality, stress, inflammation, and mood. However, scientific evidence supporting its sedative remains incomplete.
