Bullying victimization among adolescents: Prevalence, associated factors and correlation with mental health outcomes

Introduction
Knowledge
of
the
risk
factors
bullying
victimization
in
adolescents
is
crucial
for
implementation
preventive
measures.

aimed
to

prevalence

Bullying
poses

time-trend
study
examined
the
impact
of
COVID-19
pandemic
on
bullying
behaviors
associated
emotional
behavioral
difficulties
among
Greek
adolescents.
Data
were
collected
from
two
cross-sectional
surveys
in
2016
(n

1574)

samples
comprised
students
aged
12–16
years,
with
near-equal
gender
distribution

Post-pandemic

substantial
increases

traditional
victimization
rose

21.7%,

4.0%
11.6%.
Correspondingly,
mean

scores

heightened
problems.
Logistic
regression
analyses
identified
male
gender,
residence,
non-traditional
family
structures
as
predictors

results
underscore
amplified
burden
post-pandemic
