This study aimed develop Ca-fortified cracker with cricket protein source, high-quality alternative source of involves low-cost production. Four recipes the (Acheta domesticus) were prepared; control recipe, 15% Ca by RDA per serving recipe (15% formula), 25% (25% and 50% (50% formula). All assessed for satisfaction 30 participants using sensory evaluation method. The which obtained most acceptable rating was sent analysis, together recipe. findings this indicated formula significantly higher scores in taste texture when compared other two (p<0.05). In addition, its overall score stayed at an level. proximate analytical results there comparable between such as ash (2.42 g/100g 2.03 control), moisture (3.66 2.99 (4.46 4.33 control). With the rapid advancements in nutrition and dietary management, infant formulas for special medical purposes (IFSMPs) have been developed to cater unique nutraceutical requirements of infants with specific conditions or physiological features. However, there are various challenges effectively preserving maximizing health benefits nutraceuticals incorporated IFSMPs. This review provides an overview nutritional compositions IFSMPs highlights associated effective supplementation infants. In addition, it emphasizes promising potential emulsion delivery systems, which possess both encapsulation features, significantly improve solubility, stability, oral acceptance, bioavailability (BA) bioactives. Based on this information, work proposes detailed strategies designing developing model IFSMP emulsions enhance BA specially required nutraceuticals. Key areas covered include stabilization, selective release mechanisms, absorption By following these proposals, researchers industry professionals can design optimize emulsion-based enhanced benefits. not only outlines developmental states formulations but also identifies future research directions aimed at improving effort lays theoretical groundwork further development emulsion-type formula (IF) industry, positioning IF better meet complex needs requiring specialized nutrition.

The nutritional composition, antimicrobial properties, and health benefits of camel milk (CAM), cow (COM), goat (GOM) have been extensively studied for their roles in managing diabetes cardiovascular diseases (CVD). This review compares these types' therapeutic emphasizing applications chronic disease management. CAM is rich insulin-like proteins, vitamins, minerals, bioactive compounds that benefit glycemic control health. It also exhibits potent antioxidants, anti-inflammatory, lipid-lowering effects, which are crucial reducing CVD risk factors. While COM GOM provide essential nutrients, impact on metabolic differs. known its digestibility antihypertensive whereas COM's higher lactose content may be less suitable diabetic patients. Abstract The use of lactose and cow milk protein (CMP) as potential allergens in pharmaceuticals their ability to cause allergic reactions remains a significant concern medicine. Lactose, common pharmaceutical excipient due its inert, inexpensive, stable properties, is found many prescription-only over-the-counter medications. However, despite widespread use, individuals with intolerance (LI) or allergy (CMPA) may experience adverse these excipients. This study investigated the prevalence other dairy-derived ingredients marketed Portugal. Using Summary Product Characteristics (SmPC) from INFOMED database, various medications, including analgesics, antipyretics, non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs), antiasthmatics, were analyzed. Results showed high excipients, particularly antiasthmatic (62.6%) NSAIDs (39%). Although CMP are not explicitly mentioned SmPCs, presence an ingredient poses risk cross-contamination. findings emphasize need for healthcare professionals be aware medications importance developing lactose-free alternatives ensure safety patients LI CMPA. Further research required assess implications medicines populations.

School lunch plays an important role in children’s healthy growth. Previous investigations revealed many problems with school lunches, including unreasonable dietary structure and insufficient micronutrients. This study aimed to assess the nutritional quality of lunches Nanjing primary middle schools. A stratified cluster random sampling method was used select 44 schools that supply 12 districts Nanjing, two each district. Twenty-four twenty were selected. The Mann–Whitney U test explore influencing factors. Findings a serious shortage milk fruit lunches; eggs, fish, shrimp, shellfish less than half recommended quantity; livestock poultry exceeded level by over four times. Energy nutrition intake suboptimal. Provision energy, carbohydrates, vitamins (A, B1, B2, C), calcium, iron urban significantly higher non-urban same pattern nutrients equally seen compared schools, indicating food affected regional economies. Therefore, it is urgent improve particular focus on those areas.

It is crucial to accurately identify whether a patient's reaction food result of Food Allergy (FA) or Intolerance (FI), as this will determine the appropriate diagnosis and management plan. Medical practitioners should rely on verified diagnoses when discussing prevalence these conditions. Currently, obtaining clinical history, performing skin prick test (SPT) measuring serum specific IgE levels are typically initial steps in diagnosing allergies. Additional methods, such component-resolved diagnostics, basophil activation (BAT) oral challenge (OFC) may be used, if available, confirm allergen causing symptoms results first-line tests equivocal contradictory with history.
