Objetivo: Comparar os impactos do Baby-Led Weaning (BLW) e da alimentação complementar tradicional no desenvolvimento infantil, com foco em motor, preferências alimentares, comportamento alimentar, segurança. Métodos: Revisão bibliográfica integrativa, fundamentada pesquisa na base de dados eletrônicos PubMed Central (PMC). Os termos incluíram “Baby-Led Weaning”, ”BLW”, “Traditional Complementary Feeding” “Development”, englobando um total 14 artigos selecionados para análise detalhada, entre anos 2014 a 2024. Resultados: Estudos recentes abordam que crianças iniciam o método BLW podem se beneficiar aquisição algumas habilidades durante seu crescimento, como capacidades motoras, autonomia, saciedade linguagem, comparativamente ao tradicional. O aporte nutricional, energético possíveis riscos engasgos, maioria das evidências analisadas demonstram não haver diferenças estatísticas significativas as duas formas introdução alimentar.
