The
wine
industry
generates
high
amounts
of
waste,
posing
current
environmental
and
economic
sustainability
challenges.
Grape
pomace,
mainly
composed
seeds,
skins,
stalks,
contains
significant
bioactive
compounds
constitutes
the
main
solid
residue
this
industry.
Various
strategies
are
being
explored
for
its
valorization,
from
a
circular
economy
perspective.
This
review
provides
an
updated
overview
composition
grape
pomace
winemaking,
highlighting
sustainable
methodologies
extracting
phenolic
their
potential
health
benefits,
including
antioxidant,
antimicrobial,
antidiabetic,
cardioprotective,
antiproliferative,
anti-aging,
gut
properties.
Furthermore,
explores
applications
agro-industrial
waste
extractable
across
food,
cosmetic,
pharmaceutical
sectors.

Globally,
diabetic
retinopathy
(DR)
and
macular
edema
(DME)
are
the
leading
causes
of
visual
loss
in
working
people.
Current
treatment
approaches
mostly
target
proliferative
DR
DME,
such
as
intravitreal
injections
antivascular
endothelial
growth
factor
agents
laser
photocoagulation.
Before
progresses
into
more
severe,
sight-threatening
stage,
patients
with
early
stages
disease
must
get
appropriate
care.
It
has
been
suggested
that
nutraceuticals,
which
natural
functional
foods
minimal
adverse
effects,
may
help
DME.
Several
vitro
vivo
studies
were
carried
out
over
last
years,
showing
potential
benefits
several
nutraceuticals
due
to
their
neuroprotective,
vasoprotective,
anti-inflammatory,
antioxidant
properties.
Although
most
research
is
restricted
animal
models
many
have
low
bioavailability,
these
compounds
adjuvate
implement
conventional
therapies.
The
purpose
this
review

are
a
fruit
with
origins
dating
back
to
ancient
times.
Their
first
recorded
use,
as
mentioned
in
the
Bible,
was
winemaking.
The
abundance
of
bioactive
compounds
grapes
makes
them
highly
valuable.
So
far,
many
varieties
cultivated
have
been
developed
for
table
grapes,
wine
and
raisin
production.
In
addition
these
uses,
since
contain
variety
nutrients,
including
resveratrol,
flavonoids
(such
flavonols,
anthocyanins,
catechins),
melatonin,
vitamins,
acids,
tannins,
other
antioxidants,
grape
extracts
widely
studied
medical
applications.
This
paper
reviews
effects
on
cancer,
cardiovascular
disease,
brain
neurological
disorders,
eye
diseases,
skin
kidney
health,
diabetes,
gastric
along
applications
drug
delivery,
wound
dressing,
tissue
engineering.
addition,
limitations
grapes-derived
polymers
future
research
perspectives
discussed.
These
benefits
highlight
that
value
extends
far
beyond
their
traditional
use
