Grapes are a fruit with origins dating back to ancient times. Their first recorded use, as mentioned in the Bible, was winemaking. The abundance of bioactive compounds grapes makes them highly valuable. So far, many varieties cultivated have been developed for table grapes, wine and raisin production. In addition these uses, since contain variety nutrients, including resveratrol, flavonoids (such flavonols, anthocyanins, catechins), melatonin, vitamins, acids, tannins, other antioxidants, grape extracts widely studied medical applications. This paper reviews effects on cancer, cardiovascular disease, brain neurological disorders, eye diseases, skin kidney health, diabetes, gastric along applications drug delivery, wound dressing, tissue engineering. addition, limitations grapes-derived polymers future research perspectives discussed. These benefits highlight that value extends far beyond their traditional use

The wine industry generates high amounts of waste, posing current environmental and economic sustainability challenges. Grape pomace, mainly composed seeds, skins, stalks, contains significant bioactive compounds constitutes the main solid residue this industry. Various strategies are being explored for its valorization, from a circular economy perspective. This review provides an updated overview composition grape pomace winemaking, highlighting sustainable methodologies extracting phenolic their potential health benefits, including antioxidant, antimicrobial, antidiabetic, cardioprotective, antiproliferative, anti-aging, gut properties. Furthermore, explores applications agro-industrial waste extractable across food, cosmetic, pharmaceutical sectors.

Globally, diabetic retinopathy (DR) and macular edema (DME) are the leading causes of visual loss in working people. Current treatment approaches mostly target proliferative DR DME, such as intravitreal injections antivascular endothelial growth factor agents laser photocoagulation. Before progresses into more severe, sight-threatening stage, patients with early stages disease must get appropriate care. It has been suggested that nutraceuticals, which natural functional foods minimal adverse effects, may help DME. Several vitro vivo studies were carried out over last years, showing potential benefits several nutraceuticals due to their neuroprotective, vasoprotective, anti-inflammatory, antioxidant properties. Although most research is restricted animal models many have low bioavailability, these compounds adjuvate implement conventional therapies. The purpose this review (i) summarize complex pathophysiology underlying DME (ii) examine main natural-derived molecules dietary habits can assist therapies for clinical management
