Abstract Background The global youth myopia rate continues to rise, and the vision health of primary secondary school students has become a concern. This cross-sectional study aims explore status in Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region, China, its internal relationship with influencing factors under regional characteristics. Methods A survey was conducted among 1,670 Region China using snapshot method random sampling techniques from September October 2023. instruments included examination, International Physical Activity Questionnaire, Lifestyle Behavior Scale, Student Academic Stress Questionnaire. data tested descriptive statistics, difference test, correlation analyses, regression so on SPSS 25.0 SPSSAU, target model established for goodness-of-fit AMOS 23.0. Results There significant negative between lifestyle behaviors ( r =-0.360, p < 0.01), physical activity level =-0.058, 0.05). played masking effect (a*b = 0.002, c’=-0.044), academic stress moderating role process affecting status. moderated mediator constructed fitted well (RMSEA 0.028, CFI 0.953, NFI 0.934). Conclusions prevalence is lower than national average, related behaviors, level, stress. impact controlled by strategy coordinated education involving families, schools, communities should be implemented. Parents avoid having excessive expectations additional burdens their children encourage them actively participate sports; schools fully implement ‘’Double Reduction’’ policy, making prevention control an important part education; carry out publicity work control, raising adolescents’ awareness eye health.
