Resveratrol is one of the most investigated polyphenols for its multiple biological activities and many beneficial effects. These are mainly related to ability scavenge free radicals reduce oxidative stress. has also been shown have stimulate production antioxidant enzymes, which interact with numerous signaling pathways involved in tumor development, possess side effects associated use chemotherapy drugs. In this review article we summarized main discoveries about impact resveratrol can helping prevent, as well adjuvant treating, breast cancer. A brief overview primary sources some approaches improving bioavailability discussed.

Curcumin is a plant polyphenol in turmeric root and potent antioxidant. It binds to antioxidant response elements for gene regulation by nuclear factor erythroid 2‑related 2, thereby suppressing reactive oxygen species (ROS) exerting anti‑inflammatory, anti‑infective other pharmacological effects. Of note, curcumin induces oxidative stress tumors. several enzymes tumors, such as carbonyl reductases, glutathione S‑transferase P1 nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide phosphate induce mitochondrial damage, increase ROS production ultimately tumor cell death. However, the instability poor pharmacokinetic profile of in vivo limit its clinical application. Therefore, effects may be enhanced through combination with drugs, derivative development nanocarriers. In present review, mechanisms that death are discussed. addition, methods used enhance antitumor activity described. Finally, existing knowledge on functions particularly terms stress, summarized facilitate future research.
