Natural biosorbents from agricultural side stream products are being investigated due to their large surface area and capacity for various compounds. The aim of the present work was investigate raspberry seeds sorption potential in recovery natural pigments. experiment included seed a liquid by-phase rich anthocyanins initially collected during depulping material. Biosorption monitored by LC-MS analysis total anthocyanin content (TAC) before after biosorption. Cyanidins predominated material, followed pelargonidins peonidins. efficiency biosorption examined comparing percent removal. heterogeneous polymer structure biosorbent, which consists mainly lignin, cellulose, hemicellulose, characterized Fourier Transform Infrared Spectroscopy (FTIR) Raman (RS). FTIR spectra raw defatted indicated functional groups involved principal component (PCA) performed on pointed differences among biosorbents. developed strategy valorization colorants shown be effective, with recoveries 49 88 anthocyanins.
