Considering the current context of increasing resistance bacterial species to antibiotics and other antimicrobial agents, a major objective is develop approaches, which would be able inactivate pathogens with considerable effectiveness. Two such methods are photodynamic disinfection therapy laser irradiation. In view immunocompromised status some patients under immunosuppressive potential drug interactions that can established between systemic research local, minimally invasive inactivating periodontal in these therapies modifying drugs immune response justified. This vitro study evaluated action diode laser, wavelength 940 nm, photodisinfection at 670 nm (photosensitizer, 3,7 dimethyl phenothiazine chloride) on type strain Aggregatibacter actinomycetemcomitans, known pathogen, presence absence active substances used autoimmune disease (Etanercept, Infliximab, Metothrexate). The association conventional antirheumatic anti-TNF-α determined significantly greater inhibition A. actinomycetemcomitans compared monotherapy, vitro. Photodisinfection caused significant reduction burden after 30 s exposure vitro, regardless pharmaceutical associations biological disease-modifying (DMARDs). Background: Denosumab is a human monoclonal antibody playing central role in bone resorption. The impaired healing observed patients on denosumab linked to the drug’s inhibition of osteoclast activity. Photobiomodulation (PBM) has garnered attention as potential adjunctive therapy for managing oral complications therapy. aim this study provide review literature regarding benefits photobiomodulation taking while providing case report patient treated with Materials and Methods: Key terms were used search PubMed (MEDLINE), Scopus, Web Science, at last, 25 articles compared. Following proposed review, illustrated. Results: Based our findings, there are no papers specifically, but MRONJ osteonecrosis patients, which can be caused by denosumab. Discussion: Despite all limitations data literature, it deduced that evident integration laser-assisted techniques into management protocols represents significant evolution treatment strategies. Conclusions: Further studies needed better understand association between odontoclasts (which cause external root resorption) neoplastic disease or medication, well explore therapeutic rehabilitation process.

Numerous tissue engineering uses for gingival-derived mesenchymal stem cells (GMSCs) have been demonstrated. Recently, low-level laser therapy (LLLT) has projected as a factor that can improve MSCs’ regeneration capacity. Therefore, the aim of this research was to examine impact LLLT at 1.5 J/cm2 and 3 on viability osteo/odontogenic potential GMSCs. An MTT assay performed detect viability. Osteo/odontogenic differentiation evaluated using Alizarin Red S staining qRT-PCR evaluation RUNX2, OC, DMP1, DSPP genes. A two-way ANOVA with Tukey’s post hoc test used determine statistical significance between groups. The results revealed both energy densities had no cytotoxic effect GMSC demonstrated better than higher density (3 J/cm2). Furthermore, promoted following radiation, where groups exhibited mineralized nodule formation, low-energy having significantly stain level. analysis expression levels osteogenic odontogenic markers in compared control group. In conclusion, study showed application non-toxic effective strategy enhance regenerative capacity GMSCs clinical treatments oral craniofacial fields.

Introduction: Pain management becomes important in the treatment of oral mucosal diseases since it can impair quality life. Photobiomodulation (PBM) as an alternative therapy, has potency reducing pain through several mechanisms targeting peripheral nerves target tissue. Purpose: To discuss effectiveness PBM four cases diseases. Case: Four patients, two females and males, with age ranging from 24 to 63 years came Oral Medicine Department complaining painful lesions their cavity. Three showed ulceration mucosa had been diagnosed recurrent aphthous stomatitis, recalcitrant chronic ulcer, non-specific sialadenitis. One patient who complained intense swelling on right side face was post-herpetic neuralgia (PHN). Case Management: administered all (976 nm diode laser, three spot size 0.01 cm 2 , fluency 10 J/cm one case 0.5 ; 3 ). Visual analog scale (VAS) control performed before after at each visit. The recorded VAS results show a reduction that started post-laser time, 5 7 0 4. patients were given triamcinolone acetonide 0.1%, chlorhexidine gluconate 0.2% mouthwash, petroleum jelly, multivitamins. mefenamic acid Conclusion: be useful adjunctive relieve due its ability reduce intensity. Abstract To evaluate the osteogenic potential of platelet-rich fibrin (PRF) and low-level laser therapy (LLLT) on human stem cells from apical papilla (SCAP) we isolated, characterized, then cultured in an medium with PRF and/or LLLT (660 nm, 6 J/m2-irradiation). Osteogenic differentiation was assessed by bone nodule formation expression morphogenetic proteins (BMP-2 BMP-4), whereas molecular mechanisms were achieved qRT-PCR RNA-seq analysis. Statistical analysis performed ANOVA Tukey’s post hoc tests ( p < 0.05* 0.01**). Although increased after 7 days peaked at 21 days, combination + led to uppermost formation. This supported levels BMP-2 -4 0.005). Furthermore, relative specific genes involved osteogenesis, such as osteocalcin, 2.4- = 0.03) 28.3- 0.001) fold higher compared groups, osteopontin 22.9- 1.23-fold higher, respectively 0.05), interaction. The transcriptomic profile revealed that induces MSX1, TGFB1, SMAD1 expression, conditions exposition. More studies are required understand complete cellular plus cells. Overall, demonstrated for first time would be excellent therapeutic tool can employed dental, oral, craniofacial repair other tissue engineering applications.

Oral mucositis (OM) is a debilitating adverse event in patients undergoing treatment for cancer. This study aimed to evaluate the therapeutic effect of novel handheld photobiomodulation therapy (PBMT) device on chemoradiation (CRT)-induced OM with head and neck Head cancer CRT who developed moderate-to-severe during were enrolled. After PBMT at 2 4 weeks after PBMT, mean value grade decreased significantly from 2.63 2.13, 1.31, 0.75, respectively (p < 0.05, p 0.001, 0.001). Moreover, we observed significant improvement health-related quality life (HRQoL) compared baseline through validated questionnaire; EORTC QLQ-C30. In present study, use this management CRT-induced was generally well tolerated resulted OM. However, evidence supporting its remains lacking owing limitations such as small number participants lack control group. Therefore, further mechanistic studies large-scale randomized controlled trials are needed confirm effectiveness OM, shown our results.

Phototherapy plays a key role in wound healing and tissue regeneration. The use of lasers has the potential to become an effective minimally invasive treatment periodontal peri-implant disease. aim this study was evaluate influence three laser wavelengths with combination parameters such as power density energy on human gingival fibroblasts (hGFs) vitro culture. Isolated cells were seeded 96-well plates culture medium (DMEM, Dulbecco's modified Eagle's medium) supplemented 10% fetal bovine serum (FBS). After 24 h irradiated (1064, 980 635 nm, various value). 24, 48 72 h, evaluated for viability. Data analyzed by ANOVA followed Tukey's HSD test. We found best outcomes hGFs 1064 nm all combinations output (50/400/1000 mW) dose (3/25/64 J/cm2) after compared control group. Cell viability increase ranged from 0.6× (3 J/cm2, 50 1.3× (64 1000 mW). Our findings indicate that appropriate low-level irradiation (LLLI) can proliferation rate cultured cells. LLLI be extremely useful engineering regenerative medicine.
