<p>Shallots are a valuable commodity in Indonesian civilization. However, due to different obstacles, production remains low. The prevalence of purple blotch disease caused by <em>Alternaria </em><em>porri</em> is one the major challenges shallot production. A fungus infects its host through stomata. use resistant cultivars initiatives combat disease. This study aimed determine resistance several varieties disease, identify and obtain varieties, relationship between stomatal density average intensity attack. uses released Balai Penelitian Tanaman Sayuran (BALITSA) Lembang. employed randomized completely block design (RCBD) with ten as treatments three replications. Agrihorti-1 Katumi had lowest attack intensity, while Sembrani Maja Cipanas highest assault intensity. Bima Brebes, Trisula, Mentes, Violetta-1, Kramat-1, Agrihorti-1, Agrihorti-2, were however, susceptible. low or weakly positive association exists stomata mean illness.</p>
