Polydopamine
is
a
versatile
and
modifiable
polymer,
known
for
its
excellent
biocompatibility
adhesiveness.
It
can
also
be
engineered
into
variety
of
nanoparticles
biomaterials
drug
delivery,
functional
modification,
making
it
an
choice
to
enhance
the
prevention
treatment
orthopedic
diseases.
Currently,
application
polydopamine
in
disease
early
stages,
despite
some
initial
achievements.
This
article
aims
review
these
applications
encourage
further
development
therapeutic
needs.
We
detail
properties
biomaterial
types,
highlighting
superior
performance
modification
on
materials.
Additionally,
we
explore
challenges
future
prospects
developing
optimal
clinical
use
treatment.
