Abstract A novel eco-friendly magnetic alginate biogel composite (Ca-SA@Fe3O4) was synthesized through droplet polymerization and characterized using multiple techniques. Furthermore, the impact of factors, such as dosage, pH, contact time, temperature presence co-existing ions on efficiency removal for La(III) by were systematically investigated. The evaluation exploration conducted adsorption performance, reusability, interaction mechanism towards ions. results show that gel beats have a particle scale approximately 1.3 mm, peculiar folded structure with numerous surface pores sensitive magnetive responsiveness. La(III)-ion from water Ca-SA@Fe3O4 reached 90.2% at pH 7.0, time 20 h 298 K. behaviour in accordance Langmuir model, maximum capacity up to 91.0 mg/g. spontaneous process exhibited kinetics Pseudo-second-order suggesting favorable agreement. Complexation electrostatic between facilitate strong commonly coexisting ionic strength hardly interfered adsorption, apart minor influence Ca2+ following can be completely recovered reused least four times. would cost-effective macroparticle biosorbent.

Heteroatom doping is a highly effective strategy that can be used to modify carbonaceous adsorbents improve their chemical reactivity and increase adsorptive properties. Herein, simple method reported for the preparation of nitrogen-doped biochar using natural abundant biowaste from birch trees melamine as nitrogen dopant adsorption Acid red 18 (AR-18) dye water. The doped biochars were also characterized performance during treatment synthetic effluents. physicochemical characterization results showed N-doping process provoked remarkable chances on morphology, pore structure, surface functionalities. N-doped functional groups with 5.4 % N in its structure while non-doped carbon traces 0.47 %. Moreover, specific area was dominated by mesopores (86.4 %) micropores (67.8 %). Raman analysis incorporation created more defects structure. experiments boosted performance. maximum capacity 545.2 mg g−1, exhibited 444.5 i.e., an 22.6 kinetic equilibrium studies Avrami fractional order Liu models most suitable describing experimental AR-18 data. parameters found obey nonlinear relationship temperature. Several industries such as leather tanning, coal mining, steel and metal processing are responsible for heavy metals contamination in water. Heavy water can have harmful effects on both aquatic terrestrial animals by entering the food chain. Due to higher toxicity of metals, it is necessary remove ions from There several physio-chemical methods available, including ion exchange, membrane filtration, chemical oxidation, electrochemical methods. However, these some disadvantages like expensive generating byproducts. Biosorption a cost-effective eco-friendly method removal contaminated Biosorbents derived biomasses plant, bacterial, algal, fungal, agro-waste, etc. The biosorbents functional groups their surface providing them high binding capacity ions. Mathematical models isotherms, thermodynamics, kinetic studies help explain how adsorb biosorbents. This review provides comprehensive details source, biosorption also mechanism mathematical models.
